Release overview
1.0.3 adds Low Battery mode, a harder way to play again once you have finished the game, shows the level name at the start of every level and fixes the picture of the W6-1 rescue. It is a development build on our test devices (an Android tablet, a Galaxy S25 and an iPhone); it is not in app stores.
What changed
- Low Battery mode: the battery carries over between levels, a fall costs 25 % and a dead phone restarts on 25 %. Still no game over.
- Low Battery unlocks and switches on by itself after you first finish the game, with a one-time notice (“Nova forgot her charger.”) and a choice to keep it on or turn it off. Later, a LOW BATTERY: ON/OFF chip on the title screen and a row in Settings switch it; before you finish the game the row says “Beat the game to unlock”.
- In Low Battery the HUD shows a LOW tag, the results card shows “LOW BATTERY · N %”, and best times are kept separately.
- The level name everywhere: a banner of about two seconds at the start of each level (“World 2 · Level 3”), “PAUSED · W2-3” in Pause and the level id on the results card.
Fixes
- W6-1: the picture of the hands meeting stays centred on Nova and on the shelf after the rescue.

Known issues
- Not released to app stores; a development build on our test devices only.
- In Low Battery the W6-2 escape shows no battery readout (open).
- On small desktop or browser windows under 384 px of game height, Settings is hidden on the title screen (not on phones or tablets).
- Human playtest sign-off and performance on a mid-range reference phone are still open.
- No device screenshot of the Low Battery HUD, the Low Battery results card or the W6-1 rescue picture yet: the bot plays the normal mode and its W6-1 frames miss the rescue. Those screens were checked in the automated screenshot tests.
Validation
- passedGatekeeper review of the 1.0.3 integration (TG-380, 91e2e029).
APPROVED (a23d9163): compile with 0 errors and 0 warnings, EditMode 1262/1262, PlayMode 1179/1242 with 0 failed (63 skipped: the 26 known plus 37 explicit sweep and capture cases), completion bots 82/82 with every recording identical, so the normal mode is unchanged. The Low Battery, Feed Files and W6-1 rescue sets were re-captured, all within 0.032 % difference; the W6-1 hands-off-the-shelf defect is closed. One mirror frame with particle sparkles is flaky (follow-up). - passedAutomated playthrough on the Galaxy Tab S10+ with the release build itself (Android 1.0.3, code 3182, built from 91e2e029).
36/36 PASS: all 18 levels one by one and the whole campaign, 0 error lines, every enemy drawn on screen, mirrors 7/7. The screenshots on this page come from this run. - passedBuilds on the owner’s test devices: Android 1.0.3 (code 3182) and iOS 1.0.3 (build 3182).
Installed on the tablet, Galaxy S25 and iPhone (TG-380). - pendingPerformance on a mid-range reference phone and human playtest acceptance.
